  NITROX® Soho Single Core MIPS32 Embedded Processors
  The NITROX Soho Single Core MIPS32 Embedded Processor family targets wired and wireless broadband gateway and NIC applications for the SOHO, SME markets, with performance requirements ranging from 10Mbps to 200Mbps. NITROX Soho processors are highly integrated MIPS32-based system-on-a-chip (SOC) products delivering a broad range of cost, performance and power options in a footprint and software compatible fashion. A range of networking I/Os are on-chip including 3 10/100 Ethernet MACs, 32bit/33 MHz PCI, UARTs, GPIOs, timers and serial buses for maximum system integration and performance at the lowest system cost. A complete Software Development Kit is available with evaluation boards, software and drivers, Linux and Vxworks OS support and a broad range of third-party software applications. In conjunction with its OCTEON processor family, Cavium Networks provides the industry's most scalable family of integrated MIPS processors for secure network services applications.

NITROX Soho processors offer five different parts to deliver industry's best-in-class cost and security performance, with the unique capability of hardware accelerated SSL and multi-tunnel performance. The NITROX Soho CN22X processors incorporate Cavium Networks award-winning Gigacipher hardware acceleration that fully offloads the protocol and packet processing and all encryption algorithms for SSL, IPsec, WLAN and multi-protocol security. This completely frees up the MIPS processor for higher layer applications and enables unmatched system performance. Cavium Networks NITROX Soho Processors are currently in volume production and have been integrated into leading OEM, ODM products that include Secure Broadband Routers for Wired, WLAN, FTTH and VDSL applications, Security Appliances for Firewall, IPsec/SSL VPNs, and Wireless Access Points.
