Cavium Collaborates with ExtraHop for LiquidSecurity™ Hardware Security Module Family

SAN JOSE, Calif.,– April 20, 2015 –Cavium, Inc. (NASDAQ: CAVM), a leading provider of products that enable secure and intelligent processing for enterprise, data center, wired and wireless networking, today announced a collaboration with ExtraHop for its LiquidSecurity Hardware Security Module (HSM) family for next generation transaction security for cloud applications. This partnership enables seamless integration of the LiquidSecurity HSM family with the ExtraHop wire data analytics platform.

The ExtraHop wire data analytics platform goes far beyond traditional performance management tools, passively monitoring all L2-L7 communications, which, with Cavium’s NITROX® Security Processor, includes all encrypted traffic. Users can start with a high-level view of performance and then drill down to granular device- and transaction-level details to quickly and easily pinpoint the root cause of a problem. The ExtraHop wire data analytics platform reduces troubleshooting times and the need for specialists, empowering IT teams to streamline operations and provide business stakeholders with the information they need to make data-supported decisions. Combining Cavium’s LiquidSecurity and Extrahop’s wire data analytics platform provides a powerful solution for cloud data analytics deployment that can scale up or down based on encrypted traffic load.

LiquidSecurity™ HSM family provides a FIPS 140-2 level 2 and level 3 partitioned, centralized and elastic key management solution with high transaction/sec performance. It addresses high performance security requirements for private key management and administration while also addressing elastic performance per virtual / network domain for cloud environment. This product family is available as a PCI Express adapter with complete software and as a HSM appliance for evaluation or deployment. It offers a no compromise fully secure and cost efficient solution that addresses the stringent security requirements of SaaS applications, ecommerce payment systems and Enterprise, Banking and Government security applications especially as they migrate to the Public or Private cloud. Major applications for this product family include Key Management as-a-Service, Database as-a-Service, Crypto as-a-service, Secure DNS, SaaS Applications, Virtual Private Clouds in the Public Cloud and Payment systems.

LiquidSecurity HSM Family is available now from Cavium in both the appliance and PCI Express Adapter versions.
