Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
- 5+ years of work experience in the field of 32b and 64b microprocessors & integrated SoCs (Preferably MIPS, ARM, or PowerPC)
- Previous experience in either a technical support engineering or FAE role is desired
- Knowledge or experience in:
- PCB / Board design and bring-up
- Advanced circuit design and schematic capture / layout principles
- Debugging and measurement tools such as EJTAG debugger tools, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other test equipment.
- High speed communications protocols and interfaces such as XAUI, SGMII, PCI-X, PCI-Express, Serial RapidIO, SPI4.2, Interlaken, DDR2/DDR3 SDRAM, etc
- Writing app notes, technical papers, technical specifications
- Datasheets and electrical / mechanical parameters
- Familiarity with:

You will be responsible for providing pre and post sales in-depth technical support to our customers, ecosystem partners, distributors, ODMs, and CMs across the globe to enable secure, intelligent functionality in Enterprise, Data-Center, Broadband/Consumer, and Access and Service Provider equipment.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex customer incidents in a timely manner via our advanced Support CRM System

Description:
- Work with Sales and Marketing to understand OCTEON customer software feature requirements.
- Work with Software Engineering to create Software requirements documents (MRD) for new and updated OCTEON software components. Requirements include form, function, and fit.
- Work with Engineering to refine schedule and software feature availability.
- Ensure that software produced by Software Engineering satisfies requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring software is delivered in a manner that enhances the customer's Out-of-Box experience. This includes ensuring that documentation is included with the software is accurate from a installation and building perspective.
- Ensure released software has sufficient release notes to enumerate new features, fixed bugs, and known issues.
- Function as the ultimate quality vanguard for OCTEON software products.
