Syed Ali
Syed Ali, President & CEO
Syed B. Ali is one of our founders and has served as our President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the board of directors since the inception of the company in 2000. From 1998 to 2000, Mr. Ali was Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Malleable Technologies, a communication chip company of which he was a founding management team member. Malleable Technologies was acquired by PMC Sierra, a communication IC company in 2000. From 1994 to 1998, Mr. Ali was an Executive Director at Samsung Electronics where he started the Flash memory and CPU businesses and put together the business plans that drove sales in each line to over a $100M in less than two years. Prior to that, he had various positions at Wafer Scale Integration, a division of SGS-Thompson, Tandem Computer, and American Microsystems. He received a BSEE from Osmania University, in Hyderabad, India and an MSEE from the University of Michigan.
 
Arthur Chadwick  
Arthur Chadwick, Vice President of Finance & Administration and
Chief Financial Officer

Arthur D. Chadwick has served as our Vice President of Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer since December 2004. Prior to joining us, from 1989 to 2004, Mr. Chadwick served as the Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer at Pinnacle Systems, a provider of digital video processing solutions. At Pinnacle, he helped the company grow from early stage start-up to an industry leader in digital video editing products with annual revenues of $340 million. His background includes helping Pinnacle Systems through its Initial Public Offering in 1994, two successful follow-on public stock offerings, the acquisition of more than twenty smaller companies and its expansion into international markets. From 1979 through 1989, Mr. Chadwick served in various financial and management roles at American Microsystems, Austrian Microsystems and Gould Semiconductor. Mr. Chadwick received a BS degree in Mathematics and an MBA in Finance, both from the University of Michigan .
 
Rajiv Khemani  
Rajiv Khemani, Vice President and General Manager, Networking
& Communications Division
Rajiv Khemani is Vice President and General Manager of our Networking and Communications Division and has held this position since February 2009. Previously, Mr. Khemani served as our Vice President of Marketing and Sales since January 2007 and as our Vice President of Marketing since June 2003. Prior to joining us, from 1998 to May 2003, he worked for Intel Corporation, a microprocessor IC company. From 2002 to 2003, he served as General Manager of Intel's high-end network processor business unit. From 1999 to 2002, he served as Director of Marketing in Intel's network processor division where he led the product and technical marketing organizations to define and market Intel's network processor products and achieve industry-leading market share. He joined Intel through Intel's acquisition of Netboost, a network processor startup. Prior to Netboost, Mr. Khemani held engineering, marketing and management positions at Network Appliance and Sun Microsystems. He received a bachelor degree in Computer Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, an MS in Computer Science from New York University and an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
 
Manoj Gujral  
Manoj Gujral, Vice President and General Manager, Broadband & Consumer Division
Manoj Gujral is Vice President and General Manager of our Broadband and Consumer Division and has held this position since May 2010. He brings over 23 years of deep expertise in developing and bringing to market solutions for consumer electronics, personal computers, servers, and mobile devices. Prior to joining Cavium Networks, Manoj served as General Manager of the Desktop Business at Nvidia Corp responsible for GPU and chipset products across all original equipment manufacturer (OEM) customers. Earlier in his tenure at Nvidia, he led the Notebook chipset business from early days through strong revenue momentum in the market place. From 2003-2005, he served as Managing Director of the Specialty Memory business unit at Cypress Semiconductor responsible for system interconnect products for wireless and handset markets . Prior to Cypress, Manoj also worked in various management roles at Raza Foundries, ShareWave and Unisys. Manoj received his MSEE from Oregon State University, MBA from San Jose State University and completed the Executive Leadership Program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He has 8 patents issued in the area of computer architecture.
 
Art Landro  
Art Landro, President of MontaVista Software (a Cavium company)
Art Landro has more than 20 years of international business experience in Europe, the Americas, Japan, and the Asia-Pacific region, where he lived for more than twelve years in Hong Kong and Singapore. Landro joined MontaVista in 2007 as vice president of international field operations, responsible for all sales, customer support, and professional services in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific, including Japan. Most recently he was executive vice president of worldwide field operations, prior to assuming the president's role. Prior to joining MontaVista, Landro was vice president of ESG global accounts for EMC Corporation from 2006 to 2007. He joined EMC when it acquired Documentum, where he was vice president of Asia-Pacific operations from 2000 to 2005. Landro was vice president, Asia-Pacific for Cadence Design Systems from 1998 to 2000, and regional director of Asia for General DataComm from 1994 to 1997. Landro served in the U.S. Air Force, retiring from the U.S. Air Force Reserve as a lieutenant colonel. He earned a BS degree from the University of Connecticut and did post-graduate work in the University of Connecticut's MBA program as well as in the International Studies program of the USAF's prestigious Air Command and Staff College.
 
Anil Jain  
Anil Jain, Corporate Vice President IC Engineering
Anil K. Jain has served as our Vice President of IC Engineering since 2001, and is a founding management team member. Prior to joining us, from 1998 to 2000 he was at Compaq Computer, a computer manufacturer. From 1980 to 1998, Mr. Jain served at Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) when DEC was acquired by Compaq Computer. He has worked on several generations of DEC Alpha processors including the Alpha 21164 and 21364, and the CMOS VAX CPU. He has 5 patents issued and has published several papers in leading technical journals and conferences including the ISSCC. He received a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Punjab Engineering College in Chandigarh India , and an MSEE from the University of Cincinnati.
 
Muhammad Raghib Hussain   Muhammad Raghib Hussain, CTO & Corporate Vice President Software
Muhammad Raghib Hussain is one of our founders and has served in various technology leadership roles since the inception of the company in 2000. He is currently serving as our Chief Technology Officer and Corporate Vice President of Software Engineering. From 1999 to August 2000, he served at Cisco, a network equipment company. From 1996 to 1999, he served as a Principal Design Engineer at Cadence Design Systems, an EDA design services company. Prior to that, Mr. Hussain served as Design Engineer at VPNet, an enterprise security company, of which he was a founding team member. At VPNet, he was a key contributor to the design of the first commercial IPSec based VPN (Virtual Private Network) gateway. Mr. Hussain has 6 patents issued and several pending. He received a BS degree in Computer Systems Engineering from NED University in Karachi, Pakistan, and an MS degree in Computer Engineering from San Jose State University.
 
Amer Haider  
Amer Haider, Vice President Corporate and Business Development
Amer Haider has served as Cavium’s Vice President of Corporate and Business Development since January 2010. He is responsible for strategic initiatives, M&A activity, and central marketing functions. Since 2007, he has managed corporate development, and over the past eighteen months, he has completed four acquisitions that have added ARM-based processors, video processors, and embedded Linux and software services to Cavium's growing product portfolio. Since he joined Cavium in early 2001 as its first marketing person, Amer has held leadership roles in product management, product definition, and MarComm. Prior to Cavium Networks, Mr. Haider held multiple product management and engineering roles at network security, communication, and automation control companies. Mr. Haider received a BS from NED University of Engineering in Karachi, Pakistan and MS and MBA degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.
 
Andrew Rava  
Andrew Rava, Vice President Sales and Field Applications
Andrew J. Rava has served as our Vice President of Sales since July 2004. Prior to joining us, from 2003 to June 2004, Mr. Rava served as Vice President of Sales, Ethernet Products at Vitesse Semiconductor, a semiconductor communication company. In 2003, he served as Vice President of Sales at Cicada Semiconductor, which was acquired by Vitesse in that year. From 2000 to 2003 he was at Broadcom, a communications semiconductor company, where he was responsible for managing tier-1 OEM accounts. Mr. Rava joined Broadcom when they acquired Altima Communications, an Ethernet chip company, in 2000 where he was Vice President of Sales. From 1997 to 1999 he was Vice president of North American Sales for Disco Corporation, a publicly traded Japanese semiconductor equipment manufacturer. Mr. Rava received an MBA degree from LaSalle University.
 
Syed Zaheer  
Syed Zaheer, Vice President Operations
Syed A. Zaheer has served as our Vice President of Operations since 2001. Prior to joining us, from 2000 to August 2001, Mr. Zaheer served as Director of Product and Test Engineering for the Internetworking Products Division of Integrated Device Technology, an integrated circuit supplier, where he brought several high volume processor and PHY products to production. From 1997 to 2000, he served as Product Engineering manager for Centuar Technology, a subsidiary of IDT. He received a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India and an MSEE degree from Arizona State University.

Cavium Networks has assembled a world class IC development team with experience in developing high performance processors at DEC/Compaq and Sun. Cavium Networks software team has extensive experience in bringing to market leading security products at companies like Cisco, SonicWALL, VPNet & Nortel.
