Vega OTT Receiver Reference Design Kit


OVERVIEW

Cavium's Vega OTT receiver reference design is a compact OTT media streaming, and wireless display TV adapter, providing the ability to stream movies and other content from the internet, as well as user generated content from mobile devices via Miracast, DLNA, etc. The reference design provides full support for media streaming and wireless display industry standards, such as Microsoft's Smooth Streaming™, HLS, DLNA®, Intel®'s WiDi, WiFi Alliance's Miracast™, and Cavium's WiVu®, as well as support for a wide range of A/V formats and CODECs, networking and internal crypto capabilities.

Based on the innovative highly integrated CNW8311H media SoC from Cavium, the Vega OTT reference design oers support for full 1080p60 multi-format decode with advanced audio processing. High quality, full-HD video and audio can be decoded and displayed via the integrated HDMI1.4 interface with 3D support. The dedicated 2D and 3D graphics engine enables an engaging GUI experience. The USB and SD/eMMC interface, add additional interface options for user's to display and share their own content. Add to that the dual-band, dual-stream 802.11n WiFi and/or Ethernet, for a turnkey, production ready OTT solution. The option to add a tuner via a plug-in module is available, making this a quick time to market hybrid OTT solution.
